A little Her-story
Daughter and first born of local studio artist, Leartis Williams Sr. and crafts-woman, Tracy Bolden, Aerial Williams, had an early influence in the arts. Like most children, Aerial showed interest in basic art: drawing and coloring. Her passion for art was sparked at age six, while watching her father draw a portrait for a local. She stated that she wished to one day be as good of an artist as he. With assurance he replied, "Keep practicing and one day you will be better than me".
Her father did eventually tell her that she is a better artist, but in her eyes he will always be the best and her greatest inspiration.
